Privacy Policy

This page explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Confidentiality

All interactions that occur during the course of your online consultation are treated as strictly confidential. This includes communication via phone, email, or chat, appointment bookings, medical records, consultation notes, and any personal health information you provide.

I will not disclose your identity or the fact that you are a patient, without your explicit written consent. You may choose to authorize the release of specific information to another person or healthcare provider, but only in writing.

2. Professional Ethics

A respectful and professional doctor–patient relationship is essential for effective care. Therefore, confidentiality is a cornerstone of my practice. I do not discuss patient cases outside the clinical setting, except when there is a risk of harm to you or others.

To maintain a clear and ethical boundary, I do not accept personal gifts, attend social gatherings with patients, or engage in any form of relationship outside the professional scope of care.

3. Limitations of Confidentiality

While confidentiality is maintained in almost all circumstances, there are certain legal and ethical exceptions where I may be required to disclose information:

  • Legal Obligation: If a court of law issues a valid order, I may be required to share medical records or testify.
  • Child Protection: If I become aware of or suspect physical, sexual abuse, or neglect of a person under 18, I am legally required to report it to the appropriate child protection services.
  • Elder or Vulnerable Adult Abuse: If I suspect abuse or neglect of an elderly or disabled individual, I am required to notify the relevant authorities.
  • Threat of Harm to Others: If you express a credible threat of serious harm to another person, I may be legally obligated to inform the potential victim or the authorities.
  • Risk of Self-Harm: If I believe you are at risk of seriously harming yourself, I may need to initiate steps to ensure your safety. This may include contacting family members or emergency services.
4. Case Discussions & Professional Consultations

Occasionally, I may discuss aspects of a case with other medical professionals for the purpose of gaining clinical guidance or offering second opinions. In such situations, no personally identifiable information is shared. All consultants involved are bound by the same standards of medical confidentiality.
